Every good car modification story starts with a good trade, and this one is definitely not an exception. Believe it or not, the owner traded his Ford Focus for this beauty. It took a lot of work to make this E46 look as great as it is.
The whole process included numerous modifications that turned this family car into a real street racer. This BMW simply has no weak points. Every modification was done just right. It looks amazing, it rides great, and it has plenty of a style. Here are some of the most interesting modifications.
We will start with the exterior design. This model comes with an estate body style, which already seems pretty challenging. The first move was to get some nice wheels. These Work Rezax 2 18” wheels feature a 2-tone combination, with a red center and polished lip. At the front end, an M3 bumper seems like a perfect choice, along with the EVO2 View on Amazon carbon splitter. Another interesting addition is fog light covers from Hamman. On the other side, a carbon fiber rear diffuser was one of the biggest modifications.
When it comes to the interior, changes are also numerous. You can notice various M-badged new parts, like leather seats, shift knob, mirrors, etc. There is also a new carbon fiber trim, which accentuates the car’s sporty character, as well as Rockford Fosgate punch subwoofer.
All these adjustments seem pretty amazing, but the real fun starts with mechanics. Of course, there is a new coilover kit, which comes from the reputable manufacturer Spax RSX. Also, there is a completely new custom made exhaust system. Speaking of the engine, you can notice an entirely new highly-modified 2260vk hybrid turbo. Also, there is a full-alloy intercooler, as well as a new transmission from BMW e90 330d. The result is almost 320 horsepower. If we consider that the stock model was good for about 200 horses, this sounds pretty amazing.
With all these modifications, this estate became a real sports car. Low suspension, stylish body, mind-blowing acceleration and a top speed of 250 km/h sound pretty unusual for such practical, station wagon design.
